IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR 2011

Please take notice of the following in regard to 2011 grant proposals:

  • The Foundation's distributions in 2011 will be comparable to those in 2010
  • Multi-year funding requests will not be considered
  • Organizations, agencies and institutions that have received previous funding will be given first consideration in the review/grant award process
  • Human and social service organizations/agencies that have arts programming should focus grant requests to this area
   
TULSA AREA GRANT REQUEST GUIDELINES
Who may apply
Organizations that are exempt from federal income taxes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, contributions to which are deductible under Section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code. The organizations should qualify as public charities under Section 509(a)(1) or Section 509(a)(2) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Application procedure
  Submit hard copies of the following:
1. A two-page project or program description, the amount requested and a budget
2. An outline of the history of the organization
3. A copy of the letter from the IRS determination letter granting your organization’s tax-exempt status.
4. The organization’s most recent audited financial statement, or the most recent Form 990, and the most recent operating budget
5. The organization’s most recent Annual Report
6. A list of the Board of Directors/Trustees
7. Funds on hand or anticipated for this project or program

Applicants who received Foundation grants for projects or programs in 2010 or 2011 need not resubmit numbers 2. and 3.
   
Time Frame
Grants are awarded once a year. Funding is for the following calendar year.
Proposal deadline is August 15, 2011; applications received after that date will not be considered. The Foundation Trustees complete proposal reviews by November and written notifications and distribution of funds are made in December.
A final report is due from each grantee by no later than January 31 of the following year. If this report is not submitted in a timely fashion, as requested, a future proposal from the organization may be jeopardized.
